Took in my first Japanese baseball game tonight. Myself and one of the E&Y guys caught the Giants vs Swallows game. Think Yankees (Giants) vs Mets (Swallows). Final score: Giants 8 – Swallows 0. The atmosphere was festive; the baseball wasn’t as impressive. Maybe because of the score, but I didn’t see hustle from the players! Outfielders didn’t track down foul fly balls and batter-runners didn’t hustle down the line ground-balls and fly-ball outs.
